About Felipe

Felipe is senior consultant at Sustain Value Group,  he advises public and private companies on designing sustainability strategies, decarbonization roadmaps, and renewable energy projects. Leveraging his extensive career in sustainable development, Felipe is known for his dedication to fostering businesses that prioritize sustainability aligned with business priorities.

Felipe’s expertise focuses on renewable energies, contributing to the wholesale electricity market in Mexico and implementing solar systems for distributed generation. Before senior consultant Deloitte Mexico, he has helped companies develop and implement comprehensive sustainability strategies and practices. Additionally, Felipe founded a startup dedicated to waste management, specifically collecting waste to produce biodiesel.

Education


Felipe holds a bachelor's degree in Sustainable Development Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey and has completed several summer courses focused on sustainability at various universities worldwide.

  • Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Inventories: Experienced in managing GHG inventories, ensuring accurate emissions assessment and reporting per IPCC guidelines. Skilled in data collection and emission factor calculations.

  • Nature Strategy: Developed and implemented strategies for biodiversity conservation and ecosystem restoration. Skilled in habitat assessment, species protection plans, and sustainable land management.

  • Green Hydrogen Strategies: Developed and implemented green hydrogen strategies to drive decarbonization. Skilled in hydrogen production, storage, and distribution projects using renewable energy.

  • Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Strategies: Developed and implemented ESG strategies to enhance sustainability and ethical practices. Skilled in ESG risk assessments, goal setting, and integrating ESG principles into operations.

  • UCO Management: Founded and led a company dedicated to the collection of used cooking oil (UCO) and its conversion into biodiesel. Implemented an efficient collection system in collaboration with restaurants, overcoming logistical and technical challenges through innovative technologies. Ensured compliance with environmental regulations and promoted sustainable practices, significantly reducing local carbon emissions.
