About Cecilia

Cecilia Turriago is a seasoned board-level executive with over 25 years of experience in the renewable energy and infrastructure sectors, with a track record of over $10 billion in M&A, structured finance, capital raising and private equity transactions across the equity spectrum, including an initial public offering (IPO). 
 
Her expertise spans areas such as structured finance, mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, private equity, business development and more recently, she has structured impact and regenerative economy funds.

With a proven track record in Latin America, Europe, and the United States, Cecilia has consistently demonstrated her ability to drive high-performance teams and deliver exceptional results. Throughout her career, Cecilia has been instrumental in leading organizations to achieve their strategic goals. She excels at negotiating and executing complex deals, managing diverse stakeholder relationships, developing strategic partnerships, and enhancing corporate governance. Cecilia is known for her ability to foster trust-based environments that encourage innovation and calculated risk-taking.

Her most recent role as Managing Director at Enercar showcases her entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to sustainable energy. As a co-founder of the firm, she has played a pivotal role in maximizing transaction value through innovative financial structures and forging strategic partnerships with key players in the industry.

Prior to her work at Enercar, Cecilia held leadership positions at Macquarie Infrastructure Partners IV and GE Capital-Energy Financial Services. In these roles, she successfully executed large-scale renewable energy projects, raised significant capital, and advised on strategic investments.

Cecilia's expertise extends beyond financial matters. She is also a skilled organizational leader with a passion for mentoring and developing talent. Her ability to build high-performance teams and create a positive work environment has been instrumental to her success. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Cecilia is actively involved in the sustainable energy sector. She serves as a Non-Executive Director on the Investment and Auditing Committees of Fibra Infraestructura y Energía México (FIBRA MX), where she contributes her expertise to assessing infrastructure investment opportunities and promoting sustainable investing practices.

Cecilia holds a Master’s degree in International Economics from Johns Hopkins University, School of Advanced International Studies, a Master’s degree in International Studies from the University of Warwick, a Bachelor of Social Sciences from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México and a Certificate in Sustainable Investment from Harvard Business School.
